Please make sure you bring your ID (driving licence or passport), Vehicle Registration Certificate and the appropriate fee with you!

All commercial vehicles are required to undertake a Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Test after vehicle is one year old and every year thereafter. We operate two separate testing bays – one for light commercial vehicles (vans, jeeps, pick-ups and other vehicles with a maximum gross weight of 3500 kg) and one for heavy commercial vehicles (above 3500 kg gross vehicle weight). All tests are carried out by our trained testers. If a vehicle fails its original test and needs repair work we are always happy to give a quote and carry out repairs on our premises.

HCV Testing

Heavy Commercial Vehicles must take a commercial test every year to renew their commercial vehicle certificate of roadworthiness. Vehicles that fail must repair all failed items before they can be re-tested. These repairs can be carried out at the Paul Kavanagh Test Centre.
